With Vision and Inspiration, I've added "baker" to my repertoire as I've always loved to bake. Being a baker isn't new to me. And starting my own "made to order" bakery is thrilling! Before I became a baker, I left the "corporate" world of Health Insurance, keeping a handful of wonderful clients (because this girl needed to pay her bills), in the middle of 2019 to pursue a start-up food vending business selling corn dogs and lemonade. As I was barely getting this new venture off the ground, it all came to a screeching halt in March of 2020.
This period needs no introductions....
What a time to start a new business, right?
This period left small businesses in total ruins, me included! Long story short, with a lot of sacrifice, sweat, tears and the support of my daughters and Fiancé, I managed to salvage that business. But prior to salvaging that little side hustle, I needed to find another creative outlet to keep myself busy, so I leaned on my baking skills and got to work creating cakes, cookies, pies and experimenting with flavors and textures! (Talk about the Covid 20!) I've got a real sweet tooth and a knack for beauty, so I put the two together and my cakes were my work of art!
My professional baking began after I made a Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake from scratch for a wonderful friends' brunch, breaking all Covid rules and having a little fun! Turns out, the cake was a hit and the following week, I was asked if I could make the same cake for my friends' husbands company team building party and they wanted to pay me! Of course, I said YES! This was the biggest compliment I could have received! And it was this very friend that gave me the idea to start my own bakery!
Thank You TY!
And just like that, she and her husband were my first customers!
Here I am today, counting my blessings, building and creating the bakery of my dreams. Out of all the setbacks the last few years have brought, 2023 is my year to rebuild on those dreams and bring them to fruition and make my clients taste buds happy!
As the Patriarch in my family has assured me, the only way to survive is to "Endeavor to Persevere!"
So, I am exactly where I'm supposed to be, excited about my journey and each and every one of my clients and their happiness when I knock their socks off with my deliciously divine, beautiful vintage cakes and desserts!

The word "Vintage" brings back many fond childhood memories. My greatest memory is of being a young girl who loved watching and helping my mom and dad in the kitchen prepare and bake delicious cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes and even casseroles all while twirling around with my ballerina moves - not an easy feat, but our kitchen had the floor for it!
I learned very early on and remember vividly, licking the remnants of cake batter out of a pink Pyrex mixing bowl and then licking the little bit of sugary heaven off the beaters once mom was done whipping up the frosting! To this day, I can still taste the sweetness of vanilla, so rich in flavor, and those Pyrex bowls saw a lot of batter. They hold a special place in my heart.
Those bowls, being 60+ years old are in great condition and still in use in my home today. They have weathered the test of time over the years! The Pyrex bowls in the picture above are the actual bowls I learned my baking skills in and were my mom's favorite mixing bowls. They were a gift to my parents when they wed in 1961.
Fast forward, I now have these precious bowls in my possession as they were passed down to me after my mother's passing many years ago, and so, my mom continues to live on in my heart through baking and the vintage has stayed true with me.
Although, you won't catch me twirling around in my kitchen, though maybe my daughters, lol, I continue making memories and these bowls will be passed down to my them one day.
With my passion for vintage baking, I hope you find my cakes & desserts bring you back to your fond childhood memories! My recipes have stood the taste test of time!
From my inspiration to you:
Cherish every moment, time is precious and there's no moment like the present. So, just eat the cake and share the memories...
you will find
"timeless beauty in every bite! "

Growing up, I have to say that the 80's was the best decade ever! So many memories...
Pledge of Allegiance before school. Ballet and dance classes on Saturdays. Played and hung out outside with friends and not expected back home till the streetlights came on. Roller skating on the boardwalk in PB and South Mission. The smell of casseroles baking, hot dogs and hamburgers grilling and families sitting down for dinner and saying Grace.
Summer weekends were spent at the Kearny Mesa Rec Center swimming, or down at Ski Beach water skiing. My parents had a vacay home in Havasu, AZ and we'd spend half of our Summers hanging out on the lake or we'd be camping and hanging out on Martinez Lake just north of Yuma.
We didn't have "safe spaces" growing up and we learned lessons the hard way by conflict resolution, and how to agree to disagree and respect and treat others how we wanted to be treated. We embraced our unique differences. Sure, we had our fair share of bullies back then, but we pulled up our big kid pants and dealt with it which usually landed us in the principal's office where we'd apologize, shake hands and go back to class. We learned what it meant to have tough skin. The 80's brought us Aqua Net hairspray for Big Hair, oversized blazers with big shoulder pads, oversized tops and high wasted pants - and lots of accessorizing! The movies Ferris Buellers Day Off, Heathers, Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club, just to name a few, brings back great memories!
So, that was forty years ago! But every bit of it molded me into who I am today. Trials and errors, learning from mistakes, moving forward with more knowledge and skills each time which also applies to me as a baker today - lots of practice over the years. I've learned over the last four decades what it takes to make the best of the best as I never settle for less.
I have a passion for baking, and I love eating what I bake. I love creating beautiful cakes and desserts, experimenting with flavors and textures. I know that if I can wow my tastebuds that I can wow yours too!
Let me create your next dessert for that special day!
The presentation is half the beauty!
What's inside is even better!
