Unlike a traditional full-service bakery, we focus on quality over quantity. By accepting orders in advance, we are able to dedicate personalized attention, thoughtful design, and exceptional care to every creation. Each cake and dessert is custom designed and handcrafted from scratch just for you.

We believe in doing things the right way—from following the Golden Rule in our everyday practices to using thoughtfully selected, high-quality ingredients. We use non-GMO ingredients and choose organic ingredients whenever available from our trusted suppliers. We never use oil or shortening in our cakes, and we are happy to accommodate ingredient substitutions for personal preferences or dietary needs. Many of our desserts are also available with gluten-free options.

We take pride in supporting small businesses, valuing sustainability, and sourcing locally whenever possible. From creating our own vanilla paste and extract for superior flavor to carefully selecting each ingredient, every detail matters.

The Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake Cake that 

started it all!  

Sometimes the sweetest beginnings come from unexpected moments.

I have always loved baking, but it wasn’t until a season of change that I discovered where my passion could truly lead. After stepping away from the corporate world and navigating the challenges of starting a small business, I found myself searching for a creative outlet—and I turned to what had always brought me joy: baking.

I began experimenting with cakes, cookies, pies, flavors, and textures, transforming my kitchen into a place of creativity and inspiration. What started as a way to stay busy quickly became something much more—a passion for creating beautiful desserts that brought people together.

The turning point came when I made a Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake from scratch for a dear friend’s brunch. The cake was a hit, and shortly after, she asked me to create the same dessert for her husband’s company event. This time, they wanted to pay me—not just for the cake, but for something I had created with love, dedication, and a little piece of myself.

That moment changed everything.

With the encouragement of those first customers, my family’s support, and a belief that I was exactly where I was meant to be, The Vintage Flour was born.

Today, I pour that same passion into every handcrafted cake and dessert I create. Each one is designed to be more than just beautiful—it is meant to create memories, celebrate milestones, and bring joy with every delicious bite.

The word “Vintage” brings back some of my most cherished childhood memories.

I grew up watching and helping my mom and dad in the kitchen as they baked cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, and prepared family meals. I can still remember twirling around the kitchen with my ballerina moves while they created delicious treats—our kitchen floor was the perfect stage. Those moments sparked my love for baking and the joy of creating something special for others.

Some of my fondest memories are of licking the last bit of cake batter from my mom’s pink Pyrex mixing bowls and savoring the sweet frosting left behind on the beaters. The rich flavor of vanilla, the warmth of the kitchen, and the excitement of those homemade creations have stayed with me throughout my life.

The vintage Pyrex bowls in the photo above are those very same bowls—my mother’s favorite mixing bowls and a wedding gift to my parents in 1961. More than 60 years later, they remain in beautiful condition and are still used in my kitchen today. They represent tradition, resilience, and the timeless memories passed down through generations.

After my mother’s passing, these treasured bowls became mine, carrying with them her love, creativity, and the memories we shared. Through baking, a piece of her continues to live on, and the meaning behind “Vintage” remains close to my heart.

While you may not find me twirling around the kitchen anymore (although my daughters might!), I continue creating memories through the desserts I make. One day, these cherished bowls will be passed down to them, continuing a tradition built on love, family, and the joy of baking.
